Early Childhood Spanish Language
Development Program
Mi Escuela (my school)
offers a
developmentally appropriate way
to learn a second language.
This afternoon bilingual program
will follow the same concept in morning classes with an introduction
to the Spanish language.
Mi Escuela Bilingual Program
taught in Spanish and English
to introduce children
to the Spanish language,
with a full preschool curriculum
with games, songs, crafts, Art,
Science, Math, Dramatic play,
Small and Large Motor activities
and Sensory experiences.
This program is suitable
for non-Spanish speakers
as well as native speakers.
All levels are welcome.
2'&3's and Preschoolers
will have daily Spanish afternoons

-If there is no vacancy, we’ll add you to a waitlist and let you know as soon as the spot is available.
NOTE: In order to use drop-in care with us, you will need to fill out registration forms and bring copies of your child’s physical and birth certificate as required by DCFS.
Payment is due at the time of your booking.
Drop In Care Cancellation Policy:
Due to scheduling changes that occur with teachers to accommodate drop-ins, we'll not be able to switch days, all fees are final and non-refundable.

We take families on a first come, first serve basis.
Applications for entrance may be made any time during the year.
Children are eligible whenever vacancies occur and a waiting list will be maintained.
Each child is required to have emergency information and medical form, as well as additional required forms, filled out prior to your child’s first day of school. A contract between parents and Learning Oak detailing hours, days and fees need to be signed at the time of registration. When registration takes place, applications are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
Miss Maria Nicosia is the Program Director and founder of Learning Oak.
Miss Maria has spent her entire professional career in the Early Childhood Development field.
A native of Argentina, she is a dedicated, positive, and caring educator who has been extensively trained in Child Development and Early Childhood Education.
Miss Maria is a former Early Childhood Teacher of 18 years with the Park District of Oak Park where she taught Preschool in Spanish and English.
She is the proud founder of "Mi Escuela", a Spanish Preschool Program. Miss Maria has over 30 years of experience in the Early Childhood field working in different settings.

We are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher to join our team!
We are a small, independent preschool in the Oak Park neighborhood where we believe that play and children's interests drive learning and development.

Our growing school is looking for Part-Time and Full-Time qualified child care professionals for our Two’s, and Preschool classrooms.

Responsibilities include:
* Must be a team-player, solid communicator, reliable, and a highly collaborative professional.
*Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate educational program
* Ensure children are supervised at all times
* Communicate with parents
* Maintain organized and clean classrooms
* Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program.
Requirements/Qualifications:
*Associate/ Bachelor in Early Childhood Development.
*Sixty semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of credits from an accredited college or university with six semester or nine quarter hours in courses related directly to child care and/or child development, from birth to age six.
*Must be able to work shifts between the hours of 6:30 am-6:30 pm Monday through Friday.
*Need to meet all other DCFS requirements.
*Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, a passion for working with young children, and be energetic while maintaining a healthy, happy, and safe environment for kids and fostering open communication with parents.
*Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.
*ECE Credential Level 4 or higher preferred.
